G reetings from Avoca, New York where our First Tuesday Auction will be closing tonight, Tuesday, July 15, 2026 at 7:01 PM Eastern Time, with the First Wednesday beginning to end at 7:01 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, also at 7:01 PM Eastern Time.

We have added a group of photos from our more than twenty years of Summer Auctions a.k.a. "Three Days of Peace and Tools", here at our World Headquarters Complex in Avoca, New York and we would like to take this opportunity to extend a word of thanks everyone who participated in those events, even if only by wishing you could be part of it all. And a special word of thanks to those who were part of our Nashua, New Hampshire and Indianapolis, Indiana Auctions and to our auctioneers, Paul and Christopher Wilmott of New Hampshire and Bill and Terri Baxter of Indianapolis, who never let us down in more than twenty years of live auction events.

If you are not currently registered to bid in our auctions, you can register to bid by clicking HERE.

We have the First Tuesday and First Wednesday Auctions for July fully loaded and bidding is now underway. You can view the auction and enter bids beginning now and continuing until July 15 & July 16, 2025. On the last day of the sale, two lots will close and be marked as sold each minute beginning at 7:01 P.M. on each ending day and continuing until all are sold. Bidding will be open on both auctions until bidding closes as the lots begin selling at 7:01 PM on each night of the sale. You can keep bidding until the item is marked as sold. In the event that there is an increase in the bid in the last two minutes before an items sells, it will be extended for two minutes, unless the high bid amount increases again, at which point it will extend for another two minutes.

Today's Featured Tool Description
Stanley Rule & Level No. 12 3/4: Adjustable Scraper Plane. With Special Facing. 95% Original Paint. Length: 5.75 Inches. AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY WELL PRESERVED ADJUSTABLE SCRAPER PLANE, NO. 12 3/4, by the Stanley Rule & Level Company. Stanley's No. 12 3/4 adjustable scraper plane is on the "short list" of every advanced Stanley collector, and rightly so. Very few examples of this special-purpose scraper plane have ever appeared in the antique tool market. This pristine example, which retains more than 99% of the original paint and finish, rates at the very top level of condition. As is the case with other specimens, this plane has the casting mark ,"12 1/2" in the body; but, as is the case with the few other known examples, the throat opening was refitted in the factory to a full 1" and specially fitted thick rosewood plates are affixed to the underside of the plane. Fitted brass receivers set into the special sole plates are the one necessary ingredient for positive identification of this very rare tool. Those receivers are present on this example and retain their original factory lacquer finish. A superb example of anexceptionally rare Stanley plane. (FINE). jpg_file Lot 394. A CLASSIC DOVETAILED SOLE MITRE PLANE by Stewart Spiers, Ayr, Scotland. This plane has an extra tight throat and it retains its original rosewood infill and the full, original James Howarth "snecked" cutting iron. A great mitre plane in top collector quality condition.
