The Spanish Revival Movement in architecture was well established when Barker Brothers, a furniture retailer, approached the Mason Manufacturing Company about creating a line of Spanish-styled furniture. That was 1929, and within a year Mason had created a 24-piece line called Monterey Furniture, which would continue in production until 1943. This richly illustrated book has many examples of Monterey shown in full-color to capture its hand painted color and forms. Pottery, fine art, textiles, accessories and more from this period are also included. A fascinating book filled with history and fine craftsmanship.
