A "PERFECT HANDLE" BRAND "TRIPLE LEVER" SCREWDRIVER by the H.D. Smith Company, Plantsville, Connecticut. The handles of this innovative screwdriver will lock into a variety of positions including a "T" shape to facilitate the application of torque on resistant fasteners. The inside of the handles is marked with the maker name and the designation "Patented". The U.S. Patent for this device was issued on August 8, 1911 to William S. Thompson of Plantsville, Connecticut. This example is in excellent collector quality condition.

Traut and Henry Richards has escaped the common modification of having the sides of the throat filed open. The No. 80 is designated from the No. 90 in not having the side nicker spur as on the No. 90.
