A rare STANLEY NO. 47 SKEW-BLADE COMBINATION PLANE. Stanley's No. 47 skew rabbet plane was essentially a No. 46 that was reworked at the factory after the casting was made. Perhaps because the extra work was not productive and very likely compounded by a lack of demand, the folks at The Stanley Rule and Level Company didn't keep this one in the product line for long. A rare and obscure Stanley plane. A complete and sound condition example of an extremely scarce Stanley plane that retains approximately 90% of its original black japan finish.
