Kauffman addresses, in its seven chapters, each historical period of building in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. Copiously illustrated with superb color and black and white photographs of dramatic examples of the regional architectural style, each featured building is also addressed in commentary by Kauffman, including details of the building and noteworthy historical commentary. For an armchair tour of the Pennsylvania Dutch country and a reason to want to return there again and again, we recommend this excellent book.
