SOLD: April 10, 2021 A rare and exceptionally well preserved SPRING ACTION CORN SHELLER as patented by Theophilus Weaver of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1886. This opening at the end is designed to receive an ear of corn and the metal tines on the sheller push in on the cob with spring action. The handle is designed to pivot in any direction to facilitate the removal of the corn kernels. From the Collection of Hank Dotson, Mansfield, Ohio.
