SOLD: April 10, 2021 An EARLY CAST IRON "CHARIOT" PLANE marked on the brass bridge with the imprint of George Musgrave, Lincoln, England. Musgrave was a tool merchant who marked tools made by others with his name. This plane, which has an extra tight throat, is marked on the cutting iron with the imprint of James Howarth, who likely produced the plane for Musgrave. It is in top collector quality condition. From the Collection of the late William S. "Bill" Brooks, Pepper Pike, Ohio.
