A SIX-INCH, TWO-FOLD FOLDING RULE, No. 38, by STANLEY. This rule has a German silver caliper and is marked with the Stanley Rule & Level Company imprint and producdt number on the face in the early style. It has aged to a uniform medium yellow color and it is in excellent condition. From the Collection of John and Janet Wells, Berkeley, California. In an unprecedented act of generosity, it was the express wish of John and Janet Wells that the proceeds from the sale of their extraordinary collection be divided equally between the Early American Industries Association and the Mid-West Tool Collectors Association.
