A rare EARLY STYLE PLUMB AND LEVEL, No. 1, by Stratton Brothers, Greenfield, Massachusetts. This very early example has the uncommon screw-adjust plumb and level vials and is in excellent collector quality condition. This is only the fourth example of this rare early Stratton level that we have offered for sale. It is branded with the name of a one time owner, "Wm. H. Fitzgerald". William H. Fitzgerald, born in Ireland in 1870, was listed as a carpenter, living in New York City in the U.S. Census for 1910.
