The rear adjustment screw is marked with the date of the Leonard Bailey U.S. Patent of August 7, 1855 and the leading and following edges of the base are squared off with the body, lacking the rounded look of later examples. The plane is fitted with an unmarked cutting iron and is in excellent overall condition. | |
