The second of regional historian Henry J. Kauffman’s compilations of articles on the material culture of the “Pennsylvania Dutch” of Southeastern Pennsylvania picks up where the original volume left off, substantially expanding the efforts to document the ways of this community that was begun in the first volume. Included are articles about the blacksmith, early iron furnaces, copper ware, architecture, silver, pewter and more.
