This Auction Preview CD is for our Antique Tool Auction and Antique Tool Fair that will be held in Hillsborough Center, New Hampshire on July 8 & 9 , 2005at the Withington Auction Estate. The auction will consist of 1201 lots. The first 601 lots will be sold beginning at 2:01 p.m. on Friday and the remaining 600 lots will be sold beginning at 10:31 A.M. on Saturday. Our innovative Auction Preview CD allows you to carefully preview all of the lots in our upcoming auction(s), including the detailed descriptions and full color photographs of all items. The application, which runs on any Windows PC, requires a simple installation routine to be run only once. The application will then run whenever the CD is inserted into the CD Rom drive. Features allow you to search for items by category, keyword or by viewing the auction in lot number order. If you find an item on which you wish to place an absentee bid, the "Viewer" page has a link you can click on to take you directly to the item on our web sitewhere you can place a bid using our Secure Online Absentee Bidding System. The system uses secure SSL technology and you will receive notification when your bids have been placed. Bids will be executed on the day of the sale on your behalf. Bidding will start in the room at the point where the highest absentee bid exceeds the second highest bid by one bid increment. For example, if three bids are received, one for $10.00, one for $100.00 and one for $1,000, bidding will begin in the room at $110.00 (one bid increment above the second highest bid). If there is no advance in the room, the $1,000.00 bidder will purchase the item in the room for the $110.00 opening bid.
