Shufelt, of Niverville, New York in accordance with the specifications of the United States Patent issued to Shufelt on January 28, 1908. Students of onion topping mechanisms will note that this example incorporates the seldom seen improvements patented by Anton Cihak, Jr. of Shelbyville, Michigan on February 15, 1921. If the successful bidder is so inclined, Martin J. Donnelly Antique Tools will furnish a bushel of freshly picked Prattsburg, New York onions so that a demonstration of the wondrous working qualities of this machine may be provided to the other auction attendees. 77. A most interesting and unusual pair of OLIVE OYL LEG CALIPERS. We have previously speculated that those who produced these distinctive tools used their wives' legs as models. We suspect that the maker of these frequently volunteered for overtime work. 60 - 120
